Lazulite is a mineral from the phosphate family, it is characterized by its intense blue, sometimes close to azure blue, which can vary towards more greenish hues. Its crystallization generally takes place in a monoclinic system, forming prismatic or tabular crystals. Lazulite has a vitreous to sub-resinous luster, a hardness of 5.5 to 6 on the Mohs scale and a density of approximately 3.1 g/cm3. It is generally associated with other minerals such as quartz, siderite, svanbergite, or even wardite. Lazulite deposits are found in several regions of the world, including Austria, Brazil, India, the United States and Canada.

Quartz is one of the most common and widely distributed minerals on the earth's crust, belonging to the class of silicates. Its chemical formula is SiO2 (silicon dioxide), it comes in various shapes and colors, ranging from clear quartz or "rock crystal" to smoky quartz or rose quartz, depending on the impurities present during its formation. Quartz has a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale, making it a durable mineral. It is commonly found in igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks. Quartz is also a piezoelectric mineral, meaning it produces an electrical charge in response to mechanical pressure. This property makes it a valuable element in electronics and communication.
