Microline is a mineral from the silicate family. It occurs as white or greyish prismatic crystals, transparent to translucent, with vitreous reflections, and has a hardness of 5.5 to 6 on the Mohs scale.
Microline forms when magma cools and solidifies under the action of water during volcanic eruptions, and is found in granite, pegmatite, porphyry and quartzite.
The main applications of Microline are the earthenware industry, flooring, polishing and surface treatment of metals, as well as consumer products for the home.
